RiData released a line of SSD drives called the Ultra-S Plus. This series of drives was announced at CES this year, (how did I miss that booth?) and they claim it is much faster than many of the other MLC drives available today.

For those who have the budget and inclination to plunk down the cash for the RiDATA Ultra-S Plus 128GB, it makes a significant and worthwhile upgrade. The rest of us can hope that they come down in price and start appearing as standard features in popular notebook models.

The Ridata 64GB Ultra-S SSD achieved a 4 out of 5 Very Good rating in the comprehensive review. CD Freaks was impressed with the general performance of Ridata 64GB Ultra-S SSD Model NSSD-S25-64-CO3M. During the test the drive had a very fast average read speed of 118 MB/s and extremely low access time of 0.4 ms.
